'The Overrated Dinner' with chef of the year, Michael Ryan (The Provenance)
A reaction against the usual wine dinners, truffle dinners, wagyu dinners, swine, babies, overuse of pasturised flavour-bombs and other illusions of perceived luxury, this is about reviving the love of typically underrated ingredients and understanding that ritual and creativity is better than a shortcut.

@thatjessho, this dinner was decided upon before the big hoo-has, the awards and the very well-deserved acknowledgement of Michael Ryan at The Provenance picking up
Chef of the Year and Regional Restaurant of the Year from the Age Good Food Guide Awards and we toyed with changing the name, but why kill a good thing?
To match the six courses, our man Dan Sims has been challenged to compliment the food without the use of wine (not in the traditional sense) because sometimes wine is just a little bit overrated.
