The Wine Guide at The Monaco Boat Show!

Monaco... (sigh). The mere mention of her name stirs images of the rich and fabulous sipping martinis at the Monte Carlo Casino covered in designer clothes and wondering who will win the most famous of all Grand Prix. Well this year, Team Wine Guide has ventured to this promised land for the Monaco Boat Show, the most important yacht show in Europe (and probably the world).


What are us wine guys doing at a yacht show you may ask? Well, we're here (well Dan at least) to promote the one week wine training course we run for Triple S Consultancy as part of their 'Excellence in Service' program. With two courses already successfully completed, and more set to run in Fort Lauderdale in November, the response has been incredibly enthusiastic. The most recent, which concluded literally last week, was held at the stunning Beach Hotel in Cap d'Antibes; we could think of worse places to spread the vinous word!

The 'Excellence in Service' program has been developed by Triple S as a response to the growing need (and lack) of comprehensive and relevant training for yacht crew, hotels and the hospitality industry as a whole. The wine training is an integral part of the program. Our course differs from the various others as it has a keen focus on communication and service. We know too well that wine knowledge is one thing, communicating about it in a service environment is completely different.
