Vernon's Crusty Old things ...

Inspired by this years Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, the salubrious Mr Vernon Chalker has raided his cellar and put together a little list of some of his favourite Victorian drops. Back vintages of Mt Langi, Mt Mary, Yarra Yering and Mitchelton will all be on offer, and though all in very limited quantity (some only single bottles), the prices are ridiculously good value. We mean ridiculously good value. Download the list below.

Also, throughout the Festival, the guys and gals at the Gin Palace will be opening up a number of dusty old bottles to sell by the glass (100ml) at, again, phenomenally good value. Expect to see the likes of Jasper Hill Shiraz for around $13.50 a glass. Do I hear bargain?

Now I'm sure we've all indulged in the odd martini or three at the Gin Palace, but perhaps one could be persuaded to have a little tipple of something vinous as well.

This special wine list will be available from the start of the festival (Friday March 12th) and throughout or until sold out. Get in quick we say
